How has the Internet changed the way you keep in touch?

When I was young, we used to communicate without the Internet. We knew each other from school, friends’ friends, and neighbors. It was a lot of fun. We spent the whole day playing around and doing homework. It all changed right now. We make friends online in different social networks, and websites. You can meet anyone you want online, your husband/wife, your soulmate, your boss, etc.

There’re so many websites for different people, with different interests. For example, if you like running, teaching, reading, skating, dancing, you can find people of your age, who like doing that as well.

I remember as I made my first friend online. I was learning English back to school. I used Skype and Facebook for that a lot. I met a guy from Argentina in one of the English learning groups. We started communicating on Skype, it was very helpful for my language. We used to communicate a lot, and now chat sometimes on Facebook after so many years.
